65 Alberta bands have contributed upbeat songs of social justice or environmental events to the Hold Your Ground music compilation since it began in 2001. Proceeds from the sale of the compilation have benefited environmental, social justice, labour, and cultural groups across the province.
Volume Three was chosen as one of the top albums of the year by CKUA.

This limited edition set collects all 4 volumes of the Hold Your Ground music CD series.
Released November 1, 2005.
This new album features catchy songs covering subjects from worker's rights to compassion. Edmonton country rockers AA Soundsystem complement country-influenced tracks from stalwarts Tom Jackson, John Wort Hanham, and Rae Spoon. CKUA darling Ben Sures contributed his hit Any Precious Girl and Chad VanGaalen, recently signed to SubPop, goes back-to-back with roots rappers Dragon Fli Empire. The compilation represents an inspiring soundtrack for change, provided by some of the best bands in the province.
